The SM-CRM96 chainrings not only form a visual unit with the XTR cranks, they are also at the highest technical level. The partially closed construction ensures unprecedented stiffness at the point of maximum power input and therefore unrestricted propulsion. Nevertheless, the high-quality aluminium has kept the weight low and
durability has been improved.
Particular attention was paid to the shape of the individual teeth. With their special Dynamic-Chain-Engagement+ design, they guide the chain safely and very quietly even on rough trails and minimise wear.
The chainrings are fastened with a lockring, which has the Shimano bottom bracket tool holder, making any maintenance work quick and easy.
